2012 Remembrance Day & Proclamation
On Sept 27th the city of Kansas City issued a proclamation recognizing Oct 15, 2012 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. It was announced at the City Council that in 2013 Kansas City would issue another proclamation to permanently set this date as an official Remembrance Day in Kansas City. We are grateful to the Mayor and City Council members who have been so supportive and compassionate in recognizing our precious babies.

1st Breath is helping to sponsor The International Remembrance Day event at the International Conference coming to the USA this October. Because of this we are not able to give our full attention to planning our normal local event, dinner/reception and balloon release this year. It is important that we take this opportunity to bring researchers and parents together for encouraging research, activities, awareness and education that may potentially save babies lives. We wholeheartedly give our grateful support to Sam's Pond for overseeing the Kansas City metro area event, and encourage all our supporters, volunteers and parents to attend the event on October 15th, 2012.
If you would like to honor a precious baby who was lost through miscarriage, neonatal death, stillbirth, or early infant death please join all of us for this special event.
